Goodbye for now Sensei Scatko

Today Sensei Gregory Scatko taught his last class before heading off to college. He will be sorely missed.

I'd like to take responsibility for raising him up to be an intelligent, confident, responsible, and incredibly respectful young man that he is today.

But I cannot.

The truth is he has been that way since he walk in the dojo 5 years ago in August of 2013. Even at a young age he had such poise and character, I couldn't believe it. All the credit is on him, and his two wonderful parents Paul and Cynthia.
Thank you for allowing your wonderful son to spend most of his teenage years here at the dojo.

Greg has returned the favor to his parents for his magnificent upbringing by securing himself a full ride scholarship to Rutgers Honors College and Engineering Program.

We all know Greg is moving on to do incredible things. We know he will be GREAT at anything he wants to do because he will bring that same positive attitude, hard work, and sense of responsibility.

I am incredibly proud of you as my student, but also feel privileged to have been able to teach along side of you.

4 New Junior Black Belts entered the instructor training program.
1 New Adult Black Belt was given the title "Instructor"
& Mrs. Cathy, my amazing wife, and a wonderful teacher became a "Sensei".

Everyone was totally prepared and did a fantastic job. Now the "rebirth" as black belts begin. Can't wait to continue the journey with all of you. Thank you for making me so proud.

CMB Karate performs halftime show in front of 7,000 people at Rutgers Basketball game!

18 Members of our demo team ranging in ages 6-14 performed Sunday at the Big Ten Matchup of Illionois vs Rutgers. This was the team's first demo of the season and for 4 of the new members, their first demo ever! It was a huge success. Check our youtube channel for the video to be uploaded soon. Our upcoming performances this season include April 8th at wells fargo center in philadelphia for the 76ers vs the mavericks, and June 9th at Trenton Thunder.

This will also be our 2017 Year-End awards where the 2017 Student of the Year will be announced.
Our Demo Team will be performing their 2018 demonstration for the first time.
